Lassen Volcanic National Park – Kid’s Perspective

Lassen Volcanic National Park through the eyes of a 7 year old!
When I went to Lassen Peak I believe I was 7. We stayed there for 3 days. We attended some cool ranger talks that told us about the volcanoes that they had. One of the first things we did was walk to Bumpass Hell. We got to see mud pots, it was cool. I saw a pine marten. After the walk we went down to a stream. The next day I went to a Ranger program we played a game at a different stream and found bugs. After that I played 2 more games with the Ranger. The next day I hiked to Lassen Peak. We chose to hike to Lassen Peak to help prepare for our upcoming Half Dome hike. We ended up not going to half dome and you will know why in a second. So when we hiked Lassen Peak I thought it was easy. We got to see this lots of snow. It was cool. When we were done, we went to the ranger station to make sure we say a pine marten or if it was a different animal. We were excited because they have not been able to see a pine marten in the park so we were the first. When we went down to show the ranger we were in the Ranger station and my mom fell and dislocated knee. We were supposed to spend 4 days in the park but because my mom dislocated her knee we left early. That is also why we did not go to half dome a few days afterwards. That is my adventures at Lassen.
